Medium: Raku Pottery

I have been working with clay for over forty years.  I create wheel thrown and hand-built Raku pottery.  I enjoy making a variety of urns, bowls and sculptures for indoors and the garden.

Raku is my first love. Raku means "happiness by chance".  Raku is a Japanese inspired method of firing that creates unpredictable smoke patterns and spectacular metallic and crackle effects in the glazes.  The end results are unique and no two creations are ever the same.
