BDBA Art in the Park 2010

Rules and Regulations

  1. This is not a craft show. This is a juried show. All artists interested must submit an application, no later than April 31st, 2010.
  2. Priority will be given to artists from Brooklin and surrounding area but is open to all.
  3. Jury will consist of art-related professionals and at least one representative of the BDBA
  4. There is limited space available. Decisions will be made by the middle of May. Only applicants accepted will be notified. A list of the chosen artists will be featured in the first June issue of The Town Crier and other local newspapers and news Medias (TV, radio).
  5. All applications must be completed and the waiver signed. Entrance fee is $50 for mature artists, $25 for students (with student ID card). Please send your cheque with your application. Only those applications accepted will be cashed. Once accepted to the show, we will not refund your entrance fee.
  6. Applicant must submit at least five photos of the art that will be exhibited at the show. These photos will not be returned. Only items of same likeness approved by the Jury can be sold at the show. Please make sure that your name and phone number is in the back of each of your photos.
  7. The exhibitor/applicant must be present at the show at least in a part time basis. A list of assistants is needed before the show.
  8. Applicant must be the sole creator and producer of the work being sold. Mass produced items will not be accepted. We encourage artists to demonstrate their work. No agents please. An artists' profile will be featured in the BDBA web site.
  9. Space provided is approximately 12x12'. Exhibitors are responsible for their own: tents, canopies, tables, chairs, etc. Displays may not extend beyond the assigned area. Trees in the park may not be used as part of your displays. There is NO access to electricity. Be prepared for rain. There won't be a change of date or rain date. No refund will be issued in the event of bad weather. Please set up between 7 am and 9 am.
